After passing Bacll in 2020 at SIS International School, I took an exam for a scholarship at a university in Phnom Penh. The university "Cambodia Academ
y of Digital Technology" provided me with full scholarship. This university only offers three majors: computer science, telecommunications and networking, and digital business. I chose to study Digital Business because I enjoy business and have been researching technology, so I understand some concepts that I can learn from this department and it is appropriate for me to carry out my plan in the future. At the same time, I have asked seniors who study in this major and professors who have experience in technology. When I heard their advice to discuss economic 4.0, I was quite interested. I can also contribute my ideas in that circumstance.
The Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology's bachelor's degree in digital business concludes in 2024. So I chose to pursue another major: a bachelor's degree in English for Communication. I selected it because I enjoy communicating and want to explore other places. I attended Western University.
Since I started university in 2020, I've been helping at several groups and competing in a few events. I always find ways to develop myself, gain new experiences, and discover what I really want to achieve in the future. My first volunteering experience was with the E-Robot Organization, where I was primarily responsible for the media team. I was starting to produce posters and administer the E-Robot page. In addition to that, the E-Robot team provides numerous opportunities for me to develop myself in various areas of the team. I attended technology-related events as well as other activities, such as teaching children in the Green Umbrella group in Takeav Province and doing video charity for children there. After six months of working with them, I gained a lot of experience. The first thing I learned from them is that "sharing is caring" applies to everything we do. We did not consider the rewards since we were motivated by our hearts. We simply want our children to learn new skills and contribute to their community. The second time I volunteered, I did it at Volunteer for My Community. I was also in charge of the media team, but my responsibilities extended beyond poster creation and page management. I was kicking off a new venture with a planned event at SeamReap to teach high school kids how to create project reports.
When my university offered a student internship course, I took advantage of the opportunity to learn about a new industry. I interned at ISI STEEL for the post of digital marketing. My primary responsibilities include administering the page, controlling YouTube, providing material, and producing reports. It appears to be my first volunteer experience, but it is not since I was looking to improve my knowledge of flow work and study in an environment with a lot of instructors. After three months of interning at ISI, my institution discontinued the course, so we had to return to school. Around the time I was studying, I discovered a part-time internship and became interested in CamboJob as a student ambassador. I concentrate on hosting workshops and boosting the app's user base. This task teaches me more about what I want and should do. After realizing this, I began working in Phnom Penh with an organization called PSI Cambodia on position communication. I do it because the group always has a variety of activities that I can learn from.
Competitions
At the same time, I attended numerous events. I participated in two tournaments and three camping trips with people I had never met before. Smart's first competition is "Cohort 5," which lasts 5 months and focuses on startup businesses. After passing rounds 1 and 2, they require us to study startup in Kompong Thom Province for one week. Our team consists of three members, and I am the lone girl. Our project, "SAH," is an IOT project that we are working on with riders in Cambodia. It can assist them send alarm notifications to everyone they choose, notably hospitals and police officers who are nearby when they have an accident. However, our project did not win, and we ceased working on it. The second competition designed by clever is also known as a "hackathon." This tournament lasts only one week, and we will learn in Kompong Cham province. Our team consists of four persons, and we are working on a project called "MAK MAK" App. Objective: We are doing this project because we want expectant women who do not know or do not have enough time to care for their health to learn something from our app.
Whereas my first camping trip was merely three days at Chey Part, Koh Kong. I attended a charity function for children there. When I join this charity, it drives me to do the greatest thing in my life, and I plan to return and support them as much as I can. The second camping trip took me to Siem Reap province for a week. I visited Siem Reap several times before attending this event. I attended this event because I was applying for their application when it opened. The same site, but different experiences; I learned a lot and met a lot of new people. I learned from this experience to "do yourself the water." The last campaign that I did not attend with my family was in Koh Kong Krav, Koh Kong Province. I went there with a friend, and it was the most gorgeous island I've ever seen. I will be there again.
